COVID-19 CLAIMS 5 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,446, AS OF TUESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 5 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,446, as of Tuesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 567 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 171,398. The new cases include:

*95 in Washington County

*83 in Multnomah County

*53 in Jackson County

*51 in Clackamas County

*39 in Lane County

*35 in Marion County

*34 in Deschutes County

*24 in Klamath County

*17 in Benton County

*16 in Linn County

*12 in Coos County

*11 in Umatilla County

*10 in Douglas County

*9 in Lincoln County

*8 in Hood River County

*7 each in Crook, Curry and Josephine counties

*6 each in Columbia, Polk and Yamhill counties

*5 each in Baker, Grant and Malheur counties

*3 each in Clatsop, Harney, Lake and Wasco counties

*2 in Tillamook County

*1 each in Jefferson and Union counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 64 to 93. 1 each lived in Clackamas, Linn, Marion, Multnomah and Coos counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 197, which is 20 more than on Monday. There are 52 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 4 more than on Monday.

OHA reported that 29,935 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 19,831 doses were administered on Monday. 10,104 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Monday.
