COVID-19 CLAIMS NO MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,440, AS OF SUNDAY

COVID-19 has claimed no more lives, with the state death toll remaining at 2,440, as of Sunday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 499 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 170,568. The new cases include:

*99 in Multnomah County

*72 in Clackamas County

*47 in Marion County

*46 in Lane County

*43 in Washington County

*35 each in Deschutes and Klamath counties

*22 in Jackson County

*11 each in Linn and Polk counties

*9 each in Columbia, Josephine, and Yamhill counties

*8 in Jefferson County

*7 each in Grant and Lincoln counties

*6 each in Douglas, Coos and Benton counties

*3 in Crook County

*2 in Tillamook County

*1 each in Baker, Clatsop, Malheur, Morrow, Union and Wallowa counties

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 179, which is 9 more than on Saturday. There are 46 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is the same as Saturday.

OHA reported that 33,381 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 22,729 doses were administered on Saturday. 10,652 were administered on previous days but were added enter the vaccine registry on Saturday.
