COVID-19 CLAIMS 33 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,427, AS OF TUESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 33 more lives raising the state’s death toll to 2,427, as of Tuesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 544 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 167,658. The new cases include:

*97 in Washington County

*86 in Clackamas County

*68 in Multnomah County

*41 in Lane County

*36 in Marion County

*35 in Deschutes County

*33 in Jackson County

*21 in Klamath County

*17 in Linn County

*12 in Josephine County

*11 in Benton County

*10 each in Coos and Polk counties

*9 in Grant County

*8 in Umatilla County

*7 each in Douglas and Tillamook counties

*5 in Columbia County

*4 each in Baker, Malheur and Union counties

*3 each in Harney and Lincoln counties

*2 each in Crook, Curry, Hood River and Yamhill counties

*1 each in Clatsop, Sherman and Wasco counties

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 163, which is 14 fewer than on Monday. There are 42 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds which is unchanged from Monday.

OHA reported that 32,955 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 21,170 doses were administered on Monday. 11,785 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Monday.
