COVID-19 CLAIMS 6, MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,391, AS OF SATURDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 6 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,391, as of Saturday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 476 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 166,480. The new cases include:

*66 in Multnomah County

*65 in Clackamas County

*50 in Washington County

*39 in Lane County

*37 in Marion County

*36 in Jackson County

*31 in Klamath County

*30 in Deschutes County

*18 in Linn County

*14 in Josephine County

*13 in Baker County

*11 in Polk County

*10 each in Columbia and Yamhill counties

*7 in Benton County

*6 each in Lincoln, Tillamook and Umatilla counties

*4 in Douglas County

*3 each in Crook, Curry and Union counties

*2 in Jefferson County

*1 each in Grant, Hood River, Lake, Malheur, Morrow and Wasco counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 70 to 90. 1 each lived in Multnomah, Lane, Curry, Josephine, Lake and Clackamas counties

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 153, which is 4 fewer than on Friday. There are 44 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 more than on Friday.

OHA reported that 44,782 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 28,479 doses were administered on Friday. 16,303 were administered on previous days. But were entered into the vaccine registry on Friday.
