COVID-19 CLAIMS 2 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,385, AS OF THURSDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,385, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 521 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 165,524. The news cases include:

*73 in Jackson County

*71 in Multnomah County

*48 in Washington County

*40 in Marion County

*39 in Clackamas County

*30 each in Josephine and Lane counties

*22 in Klamath County

*20 in Linn County

*17 in Douglas County

*16 in Columbia County

*13 in Tillamook County

*12 in Polk County

*8 each in Benton and Yamhill counties

*7 each in Baker, Clatsop, Coos and Grant counties

*4 each in Curry and Union counties

*2 each in Crook, Jefferson, Lincoln and Malheur counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 48 to 78. 1 each lived in Klamath and Union county.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 155, which is 16 more than on Wednesday. There are 39 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 3 more than on Wednesday.

OHA reported that 46,587 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 29,262 doses were administered on Wednesday. 17,325 were administered on previous days, but were entered into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.
