COVID-19 CLAIMS 6 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,381, AS OF TUESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 6 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,381, as of Tuesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 415 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 164,570. The new cases include:

*78 in Multnomah County

*75 in Washington County

*44 in Clackamas County

*31 in Jackson County

*18 in Douglas County

*17 in Marion County

*15 in Lane County

*12 each in Klamath and Polk counties

*11 each in Benton and Deschutes counties

*10 in Baker County

*9 in Umatilla County

*8 each in Josephine and Linn counties

*7 in Curry County

*6 each in Crook and Yamhill counties

*5 each in Coos, Malheur and Tillamook counties

*3 in Grant County

*2 in Wallowa County

*1 each in Clatsop, Harney, Jefferson, Lincoln, Morrow and Union counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 42 to 93. 1 each lived in Coos, Jackson, Marion, Union and Washington counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 139, which is 3 fewer than on Monday. There are 35 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 1 fewer than on Monday.

OHA reported that 31,616 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state’s immunization registry. Of that total, 14,312 were administered on Monday. 17,304 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Monday.
