COVID-19 CLAIMS 2 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,375, AS OF SATURDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,375, as of Saturday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 426 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 163,702. The new cases include:

*69 in Washington County

*49 in Jackson County

*47 in Clackamas County

*42 in Multnomah County

*31 in Marion County

*25 in Deschutes County

*22 in Klamath County

*21 in Josephine County

*19 in Lane County

*11 in Douglas County

*10 in Coos County

*9 in Benton County

*8 each in Columbia and Umatilla County

*7 each in Baker and Morrow counties

*6 each in Tillamook and Yamhill counties

*4 each in Polk and Yamhill counties

*3 each in Curry, Hood River. Lincoln and Linn counties

*2 each in Clatsop, Crook and Wasco counties

*1 each Grant, Jefferson and Wallowa counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 81 to 87. 1 each lived in Linn and Grant counties

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 118, which is 10 more than on Friday. There are 22 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 4 more than on Friday.

OHA reported that 34,508 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 20,559 doses were administered on Friday. 13,949 were administered on previous days, but were added into the vaccine registry on Friday.
