COVID-19 HAS CLAIMED 1 MORE LIFE, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,368, AS OF WEDNESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 1 more life, raising the state’s death toll to 2,368, as of Wednesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 379 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 162,384. The new cases include:

*63 in Multnomah County

*45 in Jackson County

*41 in Clackamas County

*36 in Marion County

*30 in Washington County

*26 in Lane County

*23 in Deschutes County

*16 in Josephine County

*12 in Coos County

*11 in Benton County

*9 each in Clatsop and Linn counties

*8 in Columbia County

*7 in Umatilla County

*6 in Baker County

*5 each in Douglas, Lincoln, Polk, Tillamook and Yamhill counties

*3 each in Grant and Malheur counties

*1 each in Curry, Hood River, and Jefferson counties

The new death was an 85-year old woman in Multnomah County

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 102, which is 7 fewer than on Tuesday. There are 19 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 3 more than on Tuesday.

OHA reported that 28,655 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 17,914 doses were administered on Tuesday. 10,741 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Tuesday.
