COVID-19 CLAIMS 2 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,365, AS OF MONDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,365, as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 178 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 161,706. The new cases include:

*29 in Clackamas County

*24 in Multnomah County

*23 in Marion County

*16 in Lane County

*10 each in Douglas and Josephine counties

*9 in Klamath County

*8 each in Benton, Coos and Curry counties

*6 each in Deschutes and Jackson counties

*4 each in Linn and Tillamook counties

*3 each in Columbia and Yamhill counties

*2 each in Jefferson and Washington counties

*1 each in Lake, Lincoln and Polk counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 40 to 91.1 each lived in Lane and Marion counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 116, which is 4 more than on Sunday. There are 18 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 4 fewer than on Sunday.

OHA reported that 21,629 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 14,422 new doses were administered on Sunday. 7,207 were administered on previous days and added into the vaccine registry on Sunday.

Oregon has now administered a total of 757,970 first and second doses of Pfizer, 740,155 first and second doses of Moderna, and 32,022 single doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 901,485 doses of Phizer, 902,200 doses of Moderna and 54,700 doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
