COVID-19 CLAIMS 1 MORE LIFE, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,363, AS OF SUNDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 1 more life, raising the state’s death toll to 2,363, as of Sunday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 224 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 161,531. The new cases include:

*40 in Washington County

*38 in Marion County

*28 in Multnomah County

*21 in Clackamas County

*13 in Josephine County

*12 each in Jackson and Linn counties

*11 in Deschutes County

*8 each in Douglas, Benton and Lane counties

*6 each in Columbia and Coos counties

*4 in Polk County

*3 in Grant County

*2 in Union County

*1 each in Baker, Jefferson, Lake and Yamhill counties

The new death was an 80-year old woman in Grant County

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 112, which is 6 more than on Saturday. There are 22 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 4 fewer than on Saturday.

OHA reported that 22,232 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 14,149 doses were administered on Saturday. 8,083 were administered on previous days, but were entered into the vaccine registry on Saturday.

OHA has now administered a cumulative total of 1,509,386 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 1,858,385 doses of vaccine has been delivered to sites across Oregon.
