COVID-19 claims no more lives, with the state death toll remaining at 2,322, as of Sunday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority said Sunday marks one year since the first COVID-19 death in Oregon. The update reported 234 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 159,617. The new cases include:
*46 in Multnomah County
*39 in Washington County
*25 in Marion County
*21 in Jackson County
*19 in Clackamas County
*15 in Deschutes County
*11 each in Coos and Linn counties
*7 each in Curry and Josephine counties
*6 each in Benton and Grant counties
*5 in Lane County
*4 in Douglas County
*3 each in Columbia and Polk counties
*2 in Yamhill County
*1 each in Baker, Morrow, Tillamook and Wasco counties
OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 100, which is 4 fewer than on Saturday. There are 21 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 fewer than on Saturday.
OHA reported that 20,045 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 15,530 doses were administered on Saturday. 4,515 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Saturday.
OHA has now administered a cumulative total of 1,322,013 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 1,575,705 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
