COVID-19 CLAIMS 3 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,322, AS OF SATURDAY

COVID-19 claims 3 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,322, as of Saturday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 365 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 159,392. The new cases include:

*59 in Multnomah County

*47 in Washington County

*46 in Clackamas County

*31 in Marion County

*30 in Jackson County

*23 Josephine County

*15 each in Coos, Deschutes and Klamath counties

*13 in Douglas County

*12 in Lane County

*10 in Umatilla County

*6 in Union County

*5 each in Curry, Linn, Polk and Tillamook counties

*4 each in Clatsop and Yamhill counties

*3 in Grant County

*2 each in Baker, Benton, Lincoln, and Wasco counties

*1 each in Columbia, and Wheeler counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 68 to 95. 1 each lived in Clackamas, Lane and Multnomah counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 104, which is 19 fewer than on Friday. There are 23 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is unchanged from Friday.

OHA reported that 32,429 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 18,556 doses were administered on Friday. 13,873 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Friday.

Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 1,301,968 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 1,575,705 doses of vaccines have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
