COVID-19 CLAIMS 3 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,319, AS OF FRIDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 3 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,319, as of Friday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 402 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19. The new cases include:

*73 in Multnomah County

*49 in Clackamas County

*41 in Washington County

*34 in Marion County

*25 in Josephine County

*24 in Jackson County

*21 in Coos County

*19 in Douglas County

*18 in Benton County

*14 in Lane County

*12 in Linn County

*11 in Klamath County

*8 each in Deschutes and Polk counties

*5 each in Curry, Lincoln and Tillamook counties

*4 each in Grant and Union counties

*3 each in Baker and Umatilla counties

*2 each in Clatsop, Columbia, Jefferson, and Lake counties

*1 in Crook, Hood River, and Malheur counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 63 to 93. 2 lived in Deschutes County and 1 lived in Josephine County.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 123, which is 2 more than on Thursday. There are 23 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 1 fewer than on Thursday.

OHA reported that 34,613 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 23,075 doses were administered on Thursday. 11,538 were administered on previous days but entered into the vaccine registry on Thursday.

Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 1,269,595 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 1,567,515 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
