COVID-19 CLAIMS 11 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,316

COVID-19 has claimed 11 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,316, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 367 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 158,644. The new cases include:

*62 in Multnomah County

*39 in Clackamas County

*38 in Washington County

*37 in Jackson County

*30 in Marion County

*23 in Deschutes County

*21 in Douglas County

*14 in Coos County

*13 each in Josephine and Umatilla counties

*12 in Union County

*9 in Lane County

*8 each in Benton and Klamath counties

*7 in Polk County

*5 in Curry County

*4 each in Baker, Linn, Tillamook and Wasco counties

*3 in Columbia County

*2 each in Crook, and Jefferson counties

*1 each in Clatsop, Grant, Lincoln, Malheur, and Yamhill counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 43 to 92.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 121, which is 1 fewer than on Wednesday. There are 24 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 more than on Wednesday.

OHA reported that 30,653 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to state immunization registry. Of that total, 20,002 doses were administered on Wednesday. 10,651 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.

OHA has now administered a cumulative total of 1,235,071 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccinations. To date, 1,562,835 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
