Students at South Umpqua High School will move to Comprehensive Distance Learning for a week, after a student at the school tested positive for COVID-19.
Superintendent Kate McLaughlin said the South Umpqua School District is working closely with the Douglas Public Health Network.
McLaughlin said due to COVID-19 quarantine requirements, many of the high school staff will be required to teach remotely, rather than in-person from March 8th through March 12th. All other schools in the district will continue to provide in-person instruction on regular schedules.
