2 MORE DEATHS, 15 MORE POSITIVE TEST RESULTS FOR COVID-19 IN THE COUNTY

November 23, 2020 1:30 p.m.

On Monday, the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team reported that 2 more county residents have died of COVID-19 and 15 more people have received positive test results.

County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said the 16th COVID-19 related death is an 81-year old man. He was admitted to the hospital on November 7th. The 17th COVID-19 related death is a 91-year old woman. She was admitted to the hospital on November 18th. Both passed away on Monday. In the interest of privacy, no additional information will be released.

The update said the total number of cases is now at 822. Of those, 756 are people that have received positive test results and 66 are presumptive. 20 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are being hospitalized, 19 locally and 1 outside the area. 251 people are in isolation. 518 people are in quarantine. That means the staff with the Douglas Public Health Network are supporting 769 people that are in either isolation or quarantine. There have been 18,356 negative test results for COVID-19 in the county.

The next drive through testing clinic with the Douglas Public Health Network will be Tuesday in Roseburg.
