The deadline for survivors of Oregon wildfires to apply for individual disaster assistance and low interest disaster loans from the Federal Emergency Management Agency has been extended to Monday November 30th.
A FEMA release said the extension agreed upon by the state and FEMA is for survivors living in Douglas and seven other counties.
The release said federal disaster assistance for individuals and families can include money for rental assistance, essential home repairs, personal property losses and other serious disaster-related needs not covered by insurance.
Apply for disaster assistance with FEMA at www.disasterassistance.gov/, by using the FEMA app or by calling the FEMA hotline at 800-621-3362 between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
The release said the Small Business Administration helps businesses, private non-profit organizations, homeowners and renters fund repairs or rebuilding efforts and cover the cost of replacing lost or disaster-damaged personal property.
