Two staff members of Roseburg Public Schools have tested positive for COVID-19.
Superintendent Jared Cordon said the district was notified over the weekend by the Douglas Public Health Network.
Saturday evening the district learned that a staff member of Melrose Elementary has tested positive. After implementing contact tracing, DPHN determined that two classrooms at Melrose will need to quarantine for 14 days.
Cordon said the district was notified on Sunday that a staff member at Hucrest Elementary tested positive. DPHN and the district determined that three classrooms will need to quarantine for 14 days.
Cordon said at this time, all individuals directly impacted by this news have been contacted and are at home self-isolating and monitoring for symptoms.
Cordon said once individuals were notified to quarantine, the district communicated to all district staff and families over the weekend.
