HIGHEST DAILY COUNTY CASE COUNT FOR COVID-19 REPORTED SUNDAY

November 8, 2020 1:20 p.m.

On Sunday, the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team reported the highest daily county case count since the pandemic began.

24 more people received positive test results and there is 1 new presumptive case of COVID-19 in the county. The 25 new cases top the previous highest daily case count in the county which was 21 cases on Saturday. The update said the county is seeing an exponential growth in unrelated cases in many different places.

The total number of cases is now at 482. Of those, 428 are people that have received positive test results and 54 are presumptive. There have been 10 deaths. 7 county residents are being hospitalized for COVID-19 locally. 115 people are in isolation. 382 people are in quarantine. That means the staff with the Douglas Public Health Network are supporting 497 people that are in either isolation or quarantine. 16,520 people have tested negative for COVID-19.
