An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said 10 more people have received positive test results with 2 new presumptive cases, as of Wednesday.
County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said the 9th COVID-19 death in the county is an 81-year old woman who passed away Wednesday morning in Roseburg. Dannenhoffer said she tested positive for COVID-19 and was admitted to the hospital on October 10th. In the interest of privacy, no additional information will be released.
The update said 1 case from the county count has been retracted as it was determined that the person was not a resident of Douglas County. That case was moved to their respective county.
The total number of cases is now at 411. Of those, 364 are people that have received positive test results and 47 are presumptive. 3 COVID-19 patients are being hospitalized locally. 61 people are in isolation. 338 people are in quarantine. That means the staff with the Douglas Public Health Network are supporting 399 people that are in either isolation or quarantine. 16,159 people have tested negative for COVID-19 in the county.
The next drive through testing clinic with the Douglas Public Health Network will be Friday in Roseburg.
