Explosions and fire at a mini storage facility brought out crews from the Roseburg Fire Department on Sunday night.

Fire Marshal Monte Bryan said initial reports came in just before 7:00 p.m. Firefighters arrived to find several storage units on fire at Tom Thumb Mini-Storage near the corner of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard and Northeast Stephens Street.

Bryan said crews worked throughout the evening to extinguish the fire and conduct extensive overhaul.

Monday morning just after 7:00 a.m. firefighters were sent back to the business for a possible rekindle when flames and smoke was reported. Crews quickly extinguished the fire.

Bryan said a fire investigator is on scene and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The investigator will remain on the scene for most of the day. Bryan said the commercial structures suffered substantial damage. The total loss to the structures and contents is undetermined at this time.

Bryan said numerous other agencies assisted with the firefighting efforts.
