COVID-19 has claimed 5 more lives, with 57 new cases reported in Oregon as of Saturday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority said that brings the state’s death toll to 109, with a total of 2,635 cases now reported. The new cases include:
*15 in Marion County
*14 in Multnomah County
*9 in Washington County
*4 each in Lane and Umatilla counties
*3 in Jefferson County
*2 each in Clackamas, Deschutes and Malheur counties
*1 in each Hood River and Morrow counties
During routine data reconciliation a case originally reported as a Polk County case was later determined not to be a case. It was subtracted from Friday’s state total, and the total number of cases in Polk County was reduced by one to reflect this change.
The newly reported deaths include 2 from Multnomah County and 1 each from Polk, Marion and Umatilla counties. They ranged in age from 64 to 91. 3 were men and 2 were women and all had underlying medical conditions, according to OHA.
