CHARLIE COMPANY ON MISSION IN AFRICA

Local members of the Charlie Company unit of the Oregon National Guard are in the midst of a deployment to the Horn of Africa. Task Force Commander Lieutenant Colonel Paul Dyer spoke to News Radio 1240 KQEN to provide an update:
SPC BREWER, CALLEN, CPL MCGOWAN IAN, SPC MCGOWAN AIDEN, SPC EDWARDS JOEL, SPC ETHAN SMITH, SGT BIRDSELL CHARLIE COMPANY SOLDIERS AT WEAPONS DRAW BEFORE GOING OUT TO THEIR ASSIGNED AREA.
 
The Charlie Company members are part of a larger group that includes 1,000 Guard members from seven companies from Oregon and New Mexico.
