Roseburg Police jailed two people for prohibited camping on Monday.

An RPD report said at 9:20 p.m. officers contacted the 32-year-old man and 50-year-old woman at their camp which was set up along the riverbank at the disc golf course in the 1400 block of Northwest Stewart Park Drive. Their camp consisted of a small tent covered in a large canopy and was surrounded by various personal items and a second tent. Both people had prior convictions for prohibited camping. They were taken into custody without incident.

A detainer was authorized for the man. Each person was detained on $5,000 bail. They were both released later in the day.
