U.S. 101 CLOSED AT UMPQUA BRIDGE ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT

U.S. Highway 101 will be closed at the Umpqua River Bridge in Reedsport for 6 hours starting at 10:00 p.m. next Wednesday April 1st due to repair work.
Dan Latham of the Oregon Department of Transportation said there is no local detour during the closure.
Latham said some of the bridge’s crossbeams have been damaged in recent months. The closure will allow workers to repair the beams. Emergency service vehicles will be given priority through the work zone. A second bridge closure is tentatively scheduled for the night of April 22nd.
