A Roseburg woman was jailed for reported weapon violations by Roseburg Police on Wednesday.

An RPD report said an investigation revealed evidence that 38-year old Angela Wells took a double-edged knife, or dagger, from a victim and made threatening gestures with that knife, then concealed it in her own pocket. The incident allegedly took place at about 3:20 p.m. in the 1000 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard.

The report said Wells is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing such a weapon. Upon arrest, she allegedly violently swung her head into the chest of an officer, and tried to stomp and kick backwards at arresting officers with her foot.

Wells was charged with being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, attempting to commit the crime of assaulting an officer, third-degree theft, second-degree disorderly conduct and for a parole violation. Wells was detained without bail.
