The City of Sutherlin is inviting the public to an open house on Thursday to discuss ideas for a planned recreation park on about three acres of land located near the city’s fire station.

City officials want to hear from the public on possible plans for the area, including sand volleyball, a putting green, skate park, pump track, soccer/football fields, fitness area and parking.

The open house will be held Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Sutherlin Community Center on South Willamette Street in Sutherlin.
