HIGH PRESSURE WILL RESULT IN HIGHS 10 TO 15 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL

High pressure moving into the region will lead to afternoon high temperatures that are 10 to 15 degrees above normal starting Saturday in the Umpqua Valley.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that highs in the Umpqua Valley will be in the low 80’s on Friday, mid 80’s on Saturday and peak near 90 degrees on Sunday. Highs are expected to be in the low to mid 80s for much of next week. The normal high temperatures for the Roseburg area  this time of year are in the mid 70’s.

No precipitation is in the forecast for the foreseeable future. The mercury reached 80 degrees on Thursday at the Roseburg Regional Airport.
