A transient was jailed following an alleged incident on Thursday.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 8:30 a.m. the 27-year old was walking along the railroad tracks in the 10,000 block Old Highway 99 South in the Myrtle Creek area. The suspect was allegedly getting between rail cars while employees were trying to hook them up, and preventing the employees from working.
The report said the transient claimed the rail cars were his, and the employees could not have them. He walked aggressively towards one individual when he was confronted. His behavior was alarming to the workers in the area.
The suspect was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $8,750 bail. The man was released early Friday.
