The Rainbow Garden Club will hold its annual plant sale on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The event will take place at Wayside Park on Douglas Boulevard in Winston.

A variety of plants, shrubs and trees, plus yard art and garden décor will be available for purchase. All proceeds will go to local charities and schools in the county. Club members have planted seeds from their gardens, dug tubers and flower bulbs, all to be sold for this money-making effort for the county.

Rainbow Garden Club was started under a different name in 1952. It currently has one charter member still alive at age 96. The club’s goals are to promote interest in gardening and plants, and to contribute to local charities.
