Over twelve percent of registered voters in Douglas County have cast their ballot for the May Primary Election, as of late Monday.

County Clerk Daniel Loomis said the 10,750 ballots that have been received, lags only slightly behind the participation rate for the same point in the 2020 primary.

Loomis said registered voters that haven’t received their ballot, should contact or visit the Clerk’s Office. Those using the U.S. Postal Service should mail their ballot in by Tuesday to be safe. Loomis said those taking their ballot to the post office on or near Election Day should ask staff to stamp their envelope with a hand cancellation stamp. A ballot with a postmark after May 17th will not be counted.
