A transient was jailed following an alleged harassment incident Monday.
A Roseburg Police report said at 9:00 a.m. two transients were camped at the duck pond near the Seventh Day Adventist Church in the 1000 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. The report said both were under the influence of methamphetamine and were manic. The pair got in an argument while the victim was in her tent. The 40-year old man allegedly struck the victim with his hand, through the tent. The victim was not injured, but wished to pursue charges.
The suspect was charged with harassment and with second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $5,000.
