Roseburg Police jailed a man in regards to a stolen vehicle incident early Wednesday.

The RPD report said at about 12:20 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Exchange Drive in regards to a disturbance call.

Officers contacted the driver and dispatch advised that the plates on the pickup were stolen out of Eugene. Officers detained the suspect. During a search of the vehicle, a stolen license plate from a trailer belonging to a local company was located along with a stolen piece of equipment.

34-year old Jared Hawkins was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, and for both a warrant and a parole violation. Hawkins was detained without bail.
