Roseburg Police cited a man for an alleged DUII incident early Sunday.

An RPD report said just before 3:30 a.m. an officer was driving northbound in the 1300 block of Northeast Stephens when he saw an SUV hit the curb while it was being driven. The officer initiated a traffic stop and saw signs of impairment. The 21-year old driver admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages at a house party. He consented to standard field sobriety tests and performed poorly.

The suspect was taken into custody and transported to jail where he was cited and released for driving under the influence of an intoxicant. The man was also cited for driving while suspended-violation and for driving uninsured. The vehicle was towed.
