Reedsport Police jailed a man after drugs and weapons were seized during a traffic stop on Friday.

Interim Chief of Police Kirk Sanfilippo just after 5:30 p.m. officers initiated a traffic stop on a sedan near Highway 101 and 22nd Street. While speaking with the driver, signs of narcotics use were observed. Sanfilippo said the driver was asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle. Upon learning that there was a drug detection K9 in the patrol vehicle, the driver agreed to a consent search.

Sanfilippo said during the search of the vehicle and contact with remaining occupants, officers discovered that a passenger. Jeremy Robertson, had a Coos County Circuit Court felony warrant for second-degree manslaughter. Additionally, officers allegedly discovered 1.25 pounds of heroin, over 15 grams of methamphetamine, multiple counterfeit oxycodone pills, over $1700 in cash, a double-edged dagger and a loaded firearm.

Robertson was issued citations to appear in Douglas County Circuit Court on charges of unlawful possession and delivery of heroin, unlawful possession of meth, and for being a felon in possession of a firearm and a restricted weapon.

Sanfilippo said Robertson was transported to the Coos County Jail to await arraignment on the felony warrant.
