The Roseburg City Council has a varied agenda for its meeting Monday night.

Mayor Larry Rich will make proclamations for Historic Preservation Month, Bike and Safety Month, Walk and Bike to School Week, Bike to Work Day and for Blue Zones Day.

Councilors will hear the annual report for the Umpqua Economic Development Partnership, from Wayne Patterson.

The council will award a bid for this year’s Pavement Management Program project. Staff identified the rehabilitation of Northeast Stephens Street from Diamond Lake Boulevard to Garden Valley Boulevard as the priority. Grinding and repaving of close to a mile of the street will take place along with the replacement of twenty-four Americans with Disabilities Act ramps. Councilors will award a bid for the replacement of the roof on the city’s Fulton shop building, and vote on the purchase of a piece of maintenance equipment for the Parks Department.

Other items are on the agenda as well.

This will be the second in-person council meeting in a row following a move back to that format due to a drop in COVID-19 cases in the area. The meeting can be viewed on the city’s Facebook page or watched later at www.cityofroseburg.org.  It will begin at 7:00 p.m.
