A Wind Advisory will be in effect for much of Wednesday, for most of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said it will be in place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. South to southwest winds of fifteen to twenty-five miles per hour with gusts up to fourty-five miles per hour are expected.

The Advisory area includes much of Douglas, Josephine and Jackson counties along with eastern Curry County. That includes Interstate Five, Highway 199, Roseburg, Grants Pass, Medford and Cave Junction.

Forecasters said gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and power outages may result. Heavier showers and any thunderstorms will be the main cause of strong winds. Winds will be lighter between showers and storms.
