The Glide Wildflower Show is back after a two-year break, due to the pandemic.
It will take place at the Glide Community Center on Saturday and Sunday April 23rd and 24th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Presenters will be giving talks about a variety of topics. There will be native plant sales and book sales as well. A Wildflower Walk will take place on the Wolf Creek Trail.
The show was founded in 1965, and is the largest display of native flora in the Pacific Northwest. Over 600 species of flowers, shrubs, grasses, ferns, lichens and mosses are gathered by dozens of collecting teams who travel throughout southwest Oregon from the Cascade Mountains to the coast.
A donation of $3 per person is suggested for those attending. For complete details, go to www.glidewildflowershow.org or check out the event’s Facebook page.
