Crews with North Douglas County Fire and EMS dealt with an apartment fire on Monday.

The fire was reported just before 8:00 a.m. in the 400 block of South Cedar Street in Drain. Crews arrived to find heavy fire coming from the southside of the building. Command requested resources from Oakland Rural Fire, South Lane Fire and Rescue and Elkton Rural Fire. The blaze was knocked down within thirty minutes, and firefighters began mop up operations.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Six engines and over twenty firefighters assisted at the incident. Pictures from the fire are posted at www.541radio.com
