Thursday was the warmest day of the year so far in Roseburg.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 86 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. March 22nd had been the warmest day in 2022, getting to 75 degrees. Forecasters said Roseburg had the highest temperature of any city in Oregon Thursday. Medford reached 85 degrees.

No record was set for the date. The record high for April 7th is 91 degrees, which occurred in 2016.

Much cooler temperatures and a chance of rain are expected over the next several days in the Umpqua Valley. Snow is possible at times in higher elevations.
