STATE CONTINUES PAYING APPLICANTS AFTER RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM CLOSES

Oregon Housing and Community Services is processing for payment applications submitted through the Oregon Emergency Rental Assistance Program which stopped accepting applications on March 21st.

A release from Oregon Housing and Community Services said as of Wednesday, the agency has paid out $319.2 million in emergency rental assistance to over 48,000 households.

Applications are being approved for payment or denied based on the highest need, not on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants can continue to log onto the OERAP portal to check the status of their application. They will be alerted by email as their application advances.
