TELEPHONE OUTAGE AFFECTING 911 SERVICE IN NORTH DOUGLAS COUNTY

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has been notified by Lumen Technologies & Reliance Connect of a telephone service issue disrupting the ability of those affected to dial 911 from their landline telephones. The outage began Wednesday morning at about 7:20 a.m.

Residents in Drain, Yoncalla, Elkton and Scottsburg are experiencing the effect of the telephone service outage. Those who have cellular telephone service may be able to dial 911 from their cellular phones to summon emergency services.

DCSO said telephone providers are unable to offer an estimated time of repair.
