Umpqua Community Veg Education Group has its Lifestyle and Nutrition Course beginning April 21st.
Known as UC-VEG, the nonprofit usually holds the series of classes three times a year.
Starting in 2015, the course is now a 13-week evidence-based, disease prevention and reversal series. It has served over 3,200 participants. UC-VEG Executive Director Juliete Palenshus said through lifestyle medicine, the course shares simple, safe, and practical methods that result in health restoration. New topics are covered each week, addressing the leading causes of chronic illnesses, as well as how to view and manage stress, mindfulness, avoiding toxins and chemicals, incorporating more exercise into the daily schedule, and more.
