TICKET SALES CONTINUE FOR FISHERY ENHANCEMENT DERBY BANQUET

April 5, 2022 3:50 a.m.

Ticket sales continue for the Umpqua Fishery Enhancement Derby banquet.

It will be held June 10th and is sponsored by Douglas Timber Operators and the Umpqua Fishery Enhancement Committee.

Historically, the event is part of the annual four-day derby. All the other events took place in February but the banquet was moved due to low attendance expectations at that time.

The evening will include:

*At 5:00 p.m. the barbequed oyster bar sponsored by the Umpqua Fisherman’s Association along with the silent auction and social

*At 6:00 p.m. dinner will be served

*At 7:00 p.m. the program and live auction will take place

Auction items this year will include a Willie Boat, fishing trips to Alaska and other locations, day trips and many other items that raise funds that all go towards projects benefitting the Umpqua Basin.

The Derby has contributed more than $1.8 million towards fishery enhancement, watershed restoration and outdoor education projects in the 28 years of the event. All that money stays in Douglas County and provides matching funds for several projects annually, translating into an investment that benefits everyone enjoying the valuable natural resources in the county.

Tickets are $75 per person or $750 for a table of ten. Register online at: https://ufed.ejoinme.org/2022, by calling 672-0757 or by emailing: tina@dougtimber.org
