MAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, PAROLE VIOLATION

Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged criminal mischief incident on Friday.

An RPD report said at about 8:30 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance in the 1700 block of Southeast Mill Street where they contacted Tracy Whittington. The 47-year old was allegedly intoxicated and was arrested for violating his parole. Officers learned that Whittington allegedly damaged a vehicle that did not belong to him at that location by hitting it repeatedly with a garden hoe. He was charged for first-degree criminal mischief for the damage he caused.

Whittington is being held without bail.
