A woman was hospitalized after a wreck between a semi-truck and trailer and a passenger car, early Saturday.

An Oregon State Police report said at about 12:30 a.m. the car was stopped or traveling very slowly in the southbound lane of Interstate Five near the Yoncalla/Drain exit. The semi rear ended the car at highway speeds. The semi combination went into the median and the cable barrier. The car ended up on the shoulder.

The report said the car was driven by an elderly female. She was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center. The driver did not remember the wreck or much prior detail.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
