In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Umpqua Valley Arts has the opening reception for five new exhibits, on Friday. They include:

*The Hallie Brown Ford Gallery has Crows Shadow: Works from the Permanent Collection. This comes from Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts.

*The Red Door Gallery has Sense of Place: This features a solo exhibit from UVA artist member Tara Kemp

*Gallery II is an exhibit called Bad Air: This will be a solo exhibit of works by M.V. Moran

*The Corridor Gallery, will feature Here Together. It is a group exhibit centered on an underpinning conceptual framework

*The Student Gallery, has Smiles, works by local youth depicting their favorite smile

The reception will run from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The exhibits will be in place through June 3rd. Regular gallery hours are Tuesdays through Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Go to www.uvarts.com for more information.
