A Roseburg man was jailed following an alleged harassment incident on Wednesday.

A Roseburg Police report said at 4:00 p.m. the 49-year old allegedly hit a victim in the face during an argument, in the 1900 block of Southeast Main Street. The victim said this took place when she was trying to pack her belongings so she could move out.

The report said the suspect denied hitting her, but she had a small mark on her face.

The man was charged with harassment and detained on $2,500 bail. He was released later that day.
