\COVID-19 has claimed 14 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 6,899, as of Tuesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 421 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 700,361. OHA said while the state has crossed the threshold of 700,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19, Oregon ranks second lowest among states in the number of cases per capita. OHA said however the pandemic is not over, and COVID-19 poses a risk to many people.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 224, which is 24 fewer than on Monday. There are 34 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 4 fewer than on Monday.

The new cases include:

*80 in Multnomah County

*61 in Washington County

*45 in Lane County

*40 in Clackamas County
