A Myrtle Creek man was jailed for alleged computer crimes on Friday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said a victim reported that on Thursday as he was loading a trailer on his truck in the 2000 block of Boomer Hill Road, his credit card went missing. The suspect was the only person in the area at that time.

The victim said he had transactions on his card for over $400 at a store in Roseburg and an online transaction for $500. A deputy contacted the store and confirmed a receipt matching the dollar amount. Video and pictures were obtained of the suspect allegedly using the card to purchase a Visa Card. The man allegedly attempted to purchase three visa cards but two transactions were declined.

42-year old Jason Marlin was charged with unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, second-degree theft, for four counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, and for computer crime. Bail was set at $362,500.
